"But it eventually caught on and now it's normal for kids growing up. "

It's fun to know this Shane. Children should be made to experience every fun this world of ours could offer (only the decent one of course). Though I'm too old for costumes and such things, it's really fun to see little children dressing up for this occassion.

Yeah, Halloween has been "imported" to European regions.

When I was a kid, no one knew about it at all. I remember the first attempts at bringin Halloween here. Didn't work out too well at first, since we already have kinda similar holidays where people dress up in costumes. But it eventually caught on and now it's normal for kids growing up.

Polina - that is surprising. When I spent my Halloween studying in Australia no one dressed up (except the crazy Americans). We still had fun going out in Melbourne though and watched the Ireland vs Australia International Rules Game that night instead!

I love Halloween! When I was studying abroad in London, I was actually very surprised to find that it's almost as big of a deal there as it is here.
