Well, it is really hard having no car at all, especially when you are in the US. But when I went to my parents home land, I was really impressed by my cousins because they don't have any cars. They just commute and walk in their campus. Mind you, there campus is around 900 hectares, so I was really like "woaw,"

Well, mom and dad bought me a new car when I was heading for college since they know how daunting it will be if I don't have any. But when I went to Philippines to visit my cousins, I would say they prefer walking and public transportation, which is really weird for me.

Another plus for public transportation: students often can ride free (or at least at a discount)!
